Mind & Body Atelier

Meet the Founder

Responzia Burks is a U.S. Army Veteran, Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Esthetician, and wellness specialist dedicated to helping individuals restore balance, optimize performance, and enhance overall quality of life.

After serving eight years in the United States Army, she continued her commitment to serving others by building a career rooted in therapeutic care, movement science, and whole-person wellness. Drawing on more than a decade of hands-on therapeutic bodywork experience, a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and a clear vision to expand into graduate studies in Sport & Performance Psychology, Responzia blends evidence-based care with personalized treatment designed to help clients recover, move better, and perform with confidence. Whether working with athletes striving for peak performance, professionals managing the demands of everyday life, or individuals seeking lasting relief from pain and stress, every session reflects a commitment to compassionate care, clinical excellence, and helping each client achieve their unique wellness goals.

My Philosophy

Mind & Body Atelier was founded on the belief that movement, recovery, and overall well-being are deeply connected. Every session is guided by a whole-person approach that considers not only physical symptoms, but also lifestyle, movement patterns, stress, recovery, and long-term wellness goals.

Rather than treating isolated areas of discomfort, my philosophy focuses on understanding how the body functions as an integrated system. By combining therapeutic bodywork, movement science, skincare, and evidence-based care, each treatment is designed to restore balance, improve mobility, reduce stress, and support lasting wellness.

To me, wellness is more than the absence of pain; it’s the ability to move with confidence, recover with purpose, perform at your highest potential, and enjoy a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My Vision

Mind & Body Atelier is evolving into more than a wellness practice, it’s becoming a destination where physical recovery and mental performance work together to help individuals thrive.

As my graduate education in Sport & Performance Psychology progresses, the practice will expand to include mental performance coaching, resilience training, behavioral support, and integrated virtual wellness services that complement therapeutic bodywork and recovery.

My vision is to bridge the connection between mind and body through an evidence-informed approach that empowers individuals to overcome challenges, maximize performance, and build lasting resilience in sport, work, and everyday life.

Everything Mind & Body Atelier stands for is rooted in three guiding principles:

Restore. Revitalize. Reclaim.

Because true wellness isn’t simply about feeling better today… it’s about building the strength, confidence, and resilience to perform at your best for years to come.
